ATTENTION AUTISTIC MOTHERS: I am conducting research for a PhD in Psychology at Liberty University. The purpose of my research is to is to explore how autistic mothers describe the support they and their children receive and the barriers they face when leaving an IPV situation. To participate, you must be between 18-65 years of age, an autistic mother (diagnosed & level 1), have a child diagnosed with autism, have experienced intimate partner violence (IPV), two years or more since you left an IPV environment, and live in the United States.. Participants will be asked to complete a demographic survey and take part in a one-on-one, audio- and video-recorded Zoom interview, which should take about 45 minutes to one hour to complete. After the interview, I will inform participants that I will send them a transcript to review within 48-72 hours. If I do not receive a response, I will send a follow up email. After three attempts, I will proceed with the analysis. If you are interested and eligible to participate, please contact the researcher at rbailey23@liberty.edu.
